CONGREGATION OR CHADASH OFFERS JUDAISM ON THE WILD SIDE
Rabbi Mike Comins is truly a Jew with “A Wild Faith.” Founder of Torah Trek, Rabbi Comins is returning to Tucson, offering profound insights on the natural world’s place in Jewish culture. In his book, A Wild Faith: Jewish Ways into the Wilderness, Wilderness Ways into Judaism, we are reconnected to our souls and the wilderness where we are nourished and tested and where we encounter God directly.

Rabbi Comins will speak on “Experiencing Nature as Sacred: Jewish Necessity or Pagan Fantasy?” at Shabbat Service, 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 14th at the Junior League (2099 E. River Road, just east of Campbell). On Saturday, March 15th, at 9:00 a.m., he will lead our Shabbat morning hike in Pima Canyon where you can directly experience Judaism’s wild faith. We will meet at the shopping plaza at Magee and Oracle and then depart for the trailhead.
Come for a special teaching by Rabbi Comins and Havdalah at 6:30 p.m., Saturday at Congregation Or Chadash (3939 Alvernon Way just north of Tucson Hebrew Academy off River Road). Bring a picnic dinner and a dessert to share.
There is no charge for participating in the weekend activities and all are welcome.
