SENIORS - NEED A RIDE? TELL YOUR FRIENDS! Are you
over 60 and/or disabled and unable to drive to Jewish religious, educational,
and/or cultural and social activities due to vision problems or do you have
other obstacles which hinder your being able to transport on your own? If this is
you, or if you know someone else who fits these criteria (whether a member of
our congregation or not), we can help.
Congregation Or Chadash (COC), along with three other
synagogues, has received a grant from Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona. Beginning
January 2, 2012 we will be able to provide door-to-door transportation on a
WEEKLY basis to our Friday night and/or Saturday morning services and all
other holy day observances. Do you
want to be more involved in other activities? You will also be able to attend
committee meetings, our sponsored or co-sponsored classes held at the
synagogue or other sites (synagogues, JCC, THA, Federation, or other arranged
venues), or auxiliary events. Please
call (748-7687) or e-mail (andelk2011@cox.net) Andi Elkins by the Tuesday prior
to any Friday or Saturday services, and at least four days prior to other
scheduled events. We look forward to seeing you at services. |
