BAT MITZVAH OF ZOHAR AMAR 

Saturday, September 4th, 10:00 a.m. at the JCC 

 Zohar, daughter of Gwen and Asher Amar, will be celebrating becoming a Bat Mitzvah this weekend. All are welcome to join the family for the Service.

 

 

SELICHOT SERVICE

Saturday, September 4th, 9:30 p.m. at Or Chadash

We come to our synagogues around the world to offer penitential prayers called Selichot. This is an evening of introspection and preparation before Rosh HaShanah. Join our Rabbi and Cantor as we search and prepare together. We will gather in our Chapel to change our Torah mantles from colored to pure white. We will then join members of our congregations at Bet Shalom at 10:00 p.m. for a special study opportunity and prayer service which will end at midnight.

 

 

TASHLICH AT THE PARK

Sunday, September 12th, Noon at Mehl Park (at Pontatoc and River) at Ramada 3 

Bring the whole family and join together with our Religious School familes for Tashlich and a Picnic as we "cast away" your sins at the park. Please bring a sack lunch, water and a blanket. All are welcome.

 

 

KEVER AVOT

Sunday, September 12th, 3:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery

Honor relatives who have died this past year or in years past by attending our Kever Avot Service. Our tradition is to visit the Or Chadash section of the cemetery to participate in a meaningful prayer service ensuring that the memories of our relatives live on in our lives.

 

Please note: The Service time was moved to 3:00 p.m.
