Cantor’s Concert – A Tribute to the Greats

Honoring Rabbi Louchheim as he celebrates his 20^th year as an ordained rabbi!

A gentle reminder: when sending in your absentee ballots for the Annual Meeting kindly write yes or no beside the proposed slate. Thank you!

Also, please note: In our Bylaws, Article VII-Nominations, Section 4, it states, “Nominations from the Congregation shall be submitted to the office ten (10) days prior to the general meeting. Nominations will be verified for eligibility to serve as outlined in the Bylaws.” Any nominations from the congregation must be received by 3:00 PM, Friday, April 25, 2008.

We are asking parents of the Religious School to contribute $5-$10 per student for our 2008 Teacher Appreciation gifts for the teachers and aides. Please bring your donation this Sunday, April 27. Thank you!

The Federation thrift shop, 1st Rate, 2nd Hand Thrift Store (5252 E. Speedway), relies on volunteers from Jewish organizations in Tucson to sort and sell donations. In turn, funds will be distributed to the organizations based on a percentage of volunteer hours worked. To date Congregation Or Chadash has the 3rd highest number of volunteer hours. Monday, May 5, First Mondays with the Rabbis discussing the topic, “Love,” with Rabbis Louchheim and Cohn, 12:00 PM, Congregation Or Chadash.

Sunday, June 8, Congregation Or Chadash Golf Tournament. Four Person Scramble, Forty Niner Country Club, 7:30 AM. Entry fee $95.00/person and lunch is included. Hole sponsorships are still available for $300.00.

Sisterhood Gift Shop Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30 PM-6:30 PM and Sundays from 9:30 AM-12:00 PM. We have gifts, books, and Judaica items. Come by and see our selection of Passover items. Free gift-wrap with purchase.
