AN AMAZING MILESTONE AT OR CHADASH WELCOME THE HOLOCAUST SCROLL ‘MST-1408’ Meet ‘MST-1408,’ a Holocaust Scroll (pictured below), recently brought to our congregation on Long Term Loan by the Czech Memorial Scroll Trust. Pictured is the turning over of the Torah Scroll to Rabbi and Cantor at the Board of Directors meeting on December 7th. A committee will be formed to research a home of origin for this ‘Orphan Scroll.’ A formal dedication of the Torah Scroll to the congregation is being planned for Shavuot. The ‘rescue’ of the Scroll was done in memory of Susan Cohn’s parents, Nettie & Steven Crayne and Herbert Cohn’s parents, Sylvia & Jerry Cohn. Thank you Herb and Sue Cohn for all your work in finding a home for the Torah. |
